Please, don't
I don't intend to use this blog as a forum for my personal beefs, but after receiving an email from a certain unnamed mega-retailer based in Bentonville, AR, I must ask, please, please don't purchase an upside down Christmas tree. I don't understand them, I don't like them, please make this trend stop. Fake trees- fine. Pre-lit trees- fine. Flocked trees- fine. No tree- fine. Upside down tree- no.
Now I feel better. And if you have already purchased one, don't tell me about it.

An upside down Christmas tree? Really?
I just don't understand that....

What?! Seriously. Is that for real?! Why...WHY would anyone have an upside down Christmas tree? Is it a belief thing or a trend thing? Absurd. I promise, none will be bought here. We actually go all out with a REAL one still at our house. Allergies or not, I just love a real Christmas tree! :)

It’s a tree for people like me, no space on the floor but space on the ceiling. Great idea!

I saw one of those last year. I'd like to know what kind of brainstorming session that was that produced that! I so agree with you...it is just ridiculous.

I am right there with you. The first time I saw one in a magazine a few years ago, I cringed. They look awful. I understand the space appeal, but they just don't appeal to the eye.

I'm right there with you...that is downright FUGLY!
Don't fix it, if it ain't broken...KWIM?
With friendship,
Lisa

Yeah, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life. I completely agree with you. DOn't worry, our household's tree will be oriented the correct way, as is right and proper. :)

My cousin and his wife had an upside down real Christmas tree (I have no clue how they got it stuck up there) for their first Christmas because their tiny house in CO had no room for one on the floor. For them it was a necessity...why anyone else would want one, I have no idea.

I agree with you about those trees. I first saw them at the Gift Mart (wholesale market) in Atlanta and asked the same question...why??? I was told that shops like them to display ornaments on them because they show up better. But I still don't "get them!" P.S. The trees don't hang from the ceiling. They have a tree stand just like regular "permanent trees."

I think upside down trees are goofy. I hate trends. I like an old-fashioned Christmas tree.

Ugh, I saw these at Hobby Lobby the other day! Why??? How completely silly.

i don't particularly like it but hey folks ... different strokes ... If no one buys it the trend will fade
