SilverLining Designs

I think you are right... thanks for sharing. Amazing how those big designers can ask the big prices - no questions asked and they are getting some sweatshop in China to make them. Us poor indie designers have to jump over hoops and constantly have to explain ourselves.

My mother went to the Prada shop in Italy when on vaca and brought back this teeny black purse (wallet as I would call it). She bought me a very tiny Coach purse. I should sell it..I don't even like it much or use it. Anyway, I like bigger bags and you can find great Indie ones that are nifty and different compared to something every child from 12-16 wants really bad. My boyfriend's daughter is 12 and buys the knock off Coach bags, because for some reason it's cool. I think it's kind of stupid...doesn't make you very independent if you are doing what everyone else does.
I like this place...http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5085436...big bags and they aren't $300 + or more. They are fairly reasonable for the size.

Oops...that didn't work..

moopshop.blogspot.com is the blog for the etsy shop with nice bags:)

Oh the Indie ones are SOOOO much better looking too! Plus you could get 3 or 4 or more for the price of one of those!

I have noticed the same too. I think its a complement! :)

Ah! My husband saw that Coach bag and was convinced they got the idea from me because I do this thing with cut out motifs collaged on my bags. I laughed at the time, but now that I think about it, it's not so funny. I just did a post about where inspiration comes from... http://barij.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/03/ideas-inspiration-where-do-they-come-from.html
