Through a commenter (thanks Harmony), I found the site CPSIA Cheerleader. Olivia is a manufacturer of children's products in Colorado and has taken it upon herself to provide a voice of encouragement to other manufacturers of children's products.
Don't be misled by her site's name-- she explains: "No, I’m not rooting for the CPSIA silly! I’m cheering for all of you fellow business owners, manufacturers and mompreneurs affected by the new law. I’m bringing a message of hope and encouragement …because we HAVE to believe that we will survive!"
Her site contains great information on what she and other companies are doing to comply with CPSIA, including this lead testing party. She provides excellent information on how she hired a XRF trained tester and split the costs with other manufacturers to create their GCC (General Compliance Certificates). A very good post and this is a viable solution for many businesses.

Hey there-
I finished my couch. There are some mistakes that are driving me crazy (perfectionist personality) i.e. larger piping on the middle cushion, fabric goes one way on the middle cushion (I did that one) and it goes another way on the two end cushions (mom did those two- she lives in ID. I thought we were communicating, but apparently not!) but I suppose for my first attempt at re upholstery I can't complain too much. Check it out!

Heather, your couch looks great. That is wonderful fabric. How great to recoup half the sofa cost in the cushions!
