I've been so darn bad about posting lately, so I thought I would make up for it with a sneak peek of some yummy ribbons coming in the next two weeks.
Kathleen Rietz emailed me soon after I announced Jessica Jones's fabric asking if we accepted submissions. I was very flattered, because that sounds so "big time", but told her that no, we really were not in a position to accept submissions. I took a look at her website, which features a lot of children's book illustrations and I thought about the tired old jacquard ribbons that we've been selling for five years. I asked her if she would sketch up some fun, whimsical ribbons in her child-friendly style and voila. The ribbons are made and are shipping out of China next week. The alligators make me giggle everytime I see them.
All I see these days are cupcakes, so we had to have a cupcake ribbon.
And the lady bug ribbon is in my favorite green. There's also a new pirate ribbon (I don't have a very good picture of that, so I'll save that until it gets here) and a new flip flop ribbon.
Check out Kathleen's web site and blog and enjoy her other gorgeous illustrations.
The ribbons should be here in a couple of weeks. And like our other jcaroline jacquards, they are not restricted to personal use. So, go forth, you craft and Etsy sellers and buy some ribbon!
And you fabric people-- rumor has it that Sandi Henderson's Farmers Market, Erin McMorris's Park Slope and Heather Bailey's Pop Garden are on the way. Or close to on their way. Or in the box, or something.
