Heather is right, it is THE desk of awesomeness. The drawer pulls! The drawer liner! So excellent, Caroline. So very awesome, indeed.

Tiff@Three Peas

What an awesome idea. I have an old desk in my daughter's room that would look beautiful with a make over like that!

Lor

I just LOVE this desk - love it!

I'm totally inspired! I have a dresser, also from GW, that I haven't known what to do with. Now I do!

I would love to hear more about the Quilt Market - it's just really exciting to think of the - hmm, don't know the right phrase - the new fresh outlook, new blood, whatever - and if QM can "unstodgy" itself, kinda gives hope to us all. Share your thoughts ? Thx!

I just saw this over at How About Orange and had to come tell you how absolutely fantastic it looks. Fabulous job.

Oh my gosh, that is so gorgeous Caroline! I am always so impressed with your furniture redos! Wish I could hire you to redo my whole house! LOL!

Linda

I love the fabric on the top. what did you use to adhere it and how did you get it so smooth?

Jamillah

It doesn't matter how old the piece is you should fill, sand, and prime. Right? I have three things that I want to redo: a headboard, a utility cart and my desk. I have an old freezer that could use transforming. LOL!I love your blog. Keep up the good work!!

I'm with you on the up-and-up reputation of Quilt Market, and, I'll just say it since you were so brave, quilting in general. I'm a twenty-something daughter of a quilt editor, and I can't say enough good things about the fresh designers inspiring us young folk. ;) Hoorah for makeovers and new beginnings!

Bee

Wow! I feel so inspired! I am curious as to how you attached the fabric to the desk as well as how you made the handles. I saw the link for the button covers, but then you turned them into handles? You'll have to excuse my slow-ness, but am I missing something here?
Thanks for sharing your ingenious mind.

Your booth looked absolutely gorgeous. I have only just today found your online fabric store and now your blog ... I am impressed! Your revamped desk is a winner.

Well done, it's the best desk I've seen in a while! Well done again!

cheryl martin

Love the desk! How do you attach the covered buttons to the pulls on the drawers? Thanks!

Rachel

What did you use to decoupage the fabric to the desk? It's so smooth and nice!
